Vulcan is secretive because of his condition. He was diagnosed as a small child, and has so far been able to keep it pretty well under control. He goes to great lengths to keep it a secret though, because he feels like, if people knew, they would see him as weak, and he's already wimpy enough.

Vulcan always felt the need to do something with his life, something great. His father was a Naval officer. Vulcan was diagnosed as a Diabetic at a young age, which he felt rendered him unable to do anything majorly physical; but then again, he never was good at sports. He did really well in high school, and graduated a year early, age 17. So he went to school at Ohio U in Athens, Ohio, and got his BS in biology. He stayed in Athens and went to OUCOM, where he got his DO. He did his internship at the Cleveland Clinic. One year into his residency, Vulcan was looking up recent news in Alaska, and read about a hospital that was being built with new, state-of-the-art equipment and such. So he applied and was accepted and given a job by Hell Medical Center, where he completed his residency and has been here ever since.

FAMILY LIFE ●

Vulcan's father was a Naval officer, away overseas when Vulcan was born. His mother was a total Trekkie, who gave Vulcan what he would describe as an unfortunate name. For the most part, Vulcan and his parents have a neutral relationship. For the first couple years of his life, Vulcan's father was mostly absent, because of his job, and Vulcan was about as unruly as a kid could be. But when Vulcan was about to enter high school, his father was discharged from the Navy, and was home full-time. He cracked down on discipline. Vulcan shaped up his act. While Vulcan is not all that fond of his parents, he has a soft spot for his little sister, and is very close to her.

HOSPITAL RECORDS ●

For the most part, Vulcan has always been healthy. But when he was 3 years old, he started showing weird symptoms. He would get sick every time he went too long without eating. He was taken to the doctor and diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Other than that, he's always been healthy, and his condition is mostly under control, with few lapses.

CRIMINAL RECORD ●

Vulcan's criminal record is clean. He hasn't even had so much as a parking ticket.

LOVE LIFE ●

You know those studs that serial-date, have a different girl every week, and have so much sex they can barely stay awake? Imagine the exact opposite of that, and you'll have Vulcan. He's very sweet and sensitive, but he is hopeless with women. He's had a few girlfriends, but never anything that lasted more than a couple months. They always broke up with him either for keeping things from them- because he hides his condition from everyone- or because he's not "tough enough." He just hopes he can someday find someone who likes him just the way he is.
